Dream car for the winner: Porsche Macan Turbo

In addition to the prize money and the world ranking points, a Porsche has been awaiting the winner of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix as the main prize ever since the tournament’s premiere in 1978. This year at the 48th edition of the event, it will be a Porsche Macan Turbo.

For the players, the fully electric Macan Turbo in a Papaya Metallic livery, which will be on show at one end of the Centre Court during the tournament week, will be a quite special motivation. “The Porsche is the nicest winner’s trophy on the WTA Tour,” said the two-time Stuttgart winner Angelique Kerber once. “Everyone wants to take the car back home with them.”

Through its progressive design, characteristic Porsche performance, long-distance range and with real everyday usability, the Macan Turbo fulfils the highest requirements of Porsche customers. The numbers speak for top level e-performance: in combination with Launch Control, the Macan Turbo delivers up to 470 kW (639 PS). The power enables impressive driving performance on every terrain: the electric athlete accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and its top speed is 260 km/h.

The Macan Turbo draws its energy from a high voltage battery in the underbody; the charging capacity is up to 270 kW at a suitably powerful fast-charging station. The combined range totals up to 590 kilometres.

Thanks to its sharper proportions and Porsche Design DNA, the Macan Turbo, which has all-wheel drive, has a striking, purposeful appearance. The famous Porsche proportions have been further developed and optimally adapted to the challenges of an electric vehicle. The design makes it clear: the Macan remains the sports car even in electric form. The shallow pitch of the bonnet and the strongly pronounced front wings gives it a dynamic appearance even when it’s stationary. The characteristic Porsche flyline forms a coherent whole with the shallow-raked rear window.

The Macan Turbo is a performance-oriented SUV with a high level of everyday practicality, high-quality equipment and a spacious configuration. Electrification has led to increased luggage space. The capacity behind the rear seat bench is up to 540 litres (cargo mode). In addition, there is the ‘frunk’, a second luggage compartment under the bonnet with a capacity of 84 litres. The interior is unmistakably Porsche: the width of the cockpit is emphasised by an integrated black panel. The sloping shape of the centre console heightens the impression of a low and performance-focused seating position in the vehicle.

The equipment in the new Macan enables a high degree of personalisation. Numerous possibilities therefore for the winner of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix to transform the attractive main prize into her quite personal dream car.
